Eve could never have imagined that her trip to Australia, where she is set to be maid of honor for her best friend’s wedding, could turn from exciting to deadly so quickly.

Her sheltered and boring vanilla life comes to a screeching halt when she arrives in Australia and witnesses a shocking MC murder which puts her life in extreme danger. The Carnal MC are a dangerous and savage motorcycle gang who want Eve and will stop at nothing to seek their revenge.

Just when it seems her nightmare fate is sealed, Eve is rescued by the Severed MC and quickly falls for the club’s Vice President Gabe aka “Angel”. This could be just the diversion she needs. With her new protectors, Eve faces a whole new life she never could have imagined…

Gabe never wanted an old lady. One look at the beautiful Eve cowering at the hands of the enemy changes all that. Starting a war with the Carnal MC and having Eve in his bed is just the beginning.

When Gabe stakes his claim, he goes all in. War with Carnal MC is just the price of making Eve his, and only his. But love invites blood and tragedy in an MC’s life.

Just when it’s looking up for his MC and his new woman, a savage attack blows the lid off everything. Revenge possessed and determined can the hot tattooed biker save her from the danger that lies ahead?

I slowly walk in the direction of the noise. I have no idea why, snooping didn’t exactly do me any favors the last time. There are a few more doors down here, one door is slightly open and I can tell it’s a pool room. There are three pool tables spread around and I find the reason behind the noise.

I’ve only ever been with one man at a time, in fact I’ve only ever been with douche-bag, but this girl has three.

My brain races with the possibilities of what three men could do to my body.  After reading so many erotica books I’ve certainly fantasized about the things I’ve read, but it’s nothing compared to actually seeing it happen right in front of you.  Where I’m standing is dark, so even if they look up… they won’t be able to see me.  At least I hope not!

The woman is naked, legs spread wide and laying on her back on the table.  One man has his head buried between her thighs, another thrusting his cock deep in her mouth at the edge of the table, and the third is licking her nipples from the other side.

The sight is highly erotic and I’m immediately turned on. My eyes widen when they stop, flipping the girl over, dragging her down the table so one of the men can sit at its edge with her straddling his lap. The others take their positions, one behind her, the other standing above them all, giving the girl perfect access to his hard cock. Her moan fills the room as the three enter her, bumping and thrusting. I fight my own hands, biting on my lip. I am so turned on right now, I don’t know what to do with myself. I think about running back to my room and taking care of myself, but I can’t turn my eyes away from the scene acting out in front of me.

I catch movement to my side, shocked to see Angel glaring at me. “Like what you see?”

I stare wide eyed, I don’t know what to say. I’m embarrassed he’s caught me watching. He curses, looking back to the foursome.  The girl’s moaning becomes louder and I step back. I’m still turned on, my underwear is soaked, even though I’m ashamed at being caught watching. Angel looks at me, snickering before storming into the room. What the fuck is he doing?

~ Synopsis ~

From USA Today Bestselling Author Nora Flite

She thought she was stepping into fame:

Meeting Drezden Halifax should have been a dream. But dreams are supposed to be sweet, fragile things that whisk you away. Not monsters crafted from hard fingers, gritty vocal cords and a voice so powerful it could tear my guts right out.

Maybe my heart, too.

Becoming the guitarist for Four and a Half Headstones was everything I needed.

Too bad the band’s lead singer is doing his best to ruin everything I am.

He thought she would solve his troubles:

Lola Cooper, god damn Lola Cooper. She was the perfect guitarist, fingers that could summon a sweet song or punch a chord. She’s supposed to save my band, make us come out of this tour in one piece…

But I just want to tear HER to pieces.

No one should make me feel this way. One look at her, one smell, and I knew I’d have to have her. She does things to me that scare the shit out of me. Make me want to slam her on a wall and listen to her cries: eager or fearful, it doesn’t matter.

I’m a monster…
And I don’t even care.

Hard Body Rock is a fast but fun read.  It is the first in the Body Rock series.  In fact the second book in the series is already out(Slow Body Rock).  I will leave you a buy link for it for Amazon readers.

Lola Cooper enters the picture when the guitarist for Four and a Half Headstones gets fired.  She auditions wonderfully, but she is still insecure about her talent.  We get a picture of why through out the story.

Drezden Halifax loves Lola’s raw talent, but he is having a hard time denying his attraction to her.  He also has a tad bit of an anger issue.  When Lola is distracted by his singing, he explodes at her.  Can Lola show her true talent in time to rescue the band?

I really didn’t know how to feel about Drezden.  While he is sexy, and has great vocals, he also can be quite a jerk at times.  Although, a few times he contained redeeming qualities.  I am interested to see more of him in the future books’ in the series.

I really enjoyed how well the story line flowed.  I never once felt that there was a lull in what was happening in each scene.

Right now I am off to read the second book in the series.

Review: Truth or Dare (4.5 STARS) by Sloan Johnson Release Week Event

Truth Or Dare (4.5 STARS)

Lea Baker fell in love with Colby Davis four years ago. The problem? He sees her as one of the guys.

After the party from hell, both of them will be forced to face their true feelings for one another. Once the truth comes out, everything changes.

Truth or Dare by Sloan Johnson is about two people who attempt to reconcile about how they feel about each other.  Lea has decided to move on because in her thought her feelings are not reciprocated by Colby.  A party that has gone bad, brings both Lea and Colby to be honest with each other.  What will they reveal to each other?

Truth or Dare is my second book I read by Sloan Johnson.  The first I read by Sloan was Unexpected Consequences.  Truth or Dare is probably now my favorite.

Sloan Johnson is writing a Truth or Dare series.  I am looking forward to seeing what happens next for Lea and Colby.  I am highly anticipating to read more of Sloan’s works.  In fact tonight I went out and bought another book of hers.

Truth or Dare starts out getting into the head of the characters.  It helps build such climax into the story.  I was really sad when the book ended.  I felt like I craved more of Lea and Colby.  To be honest, I am a little bit nervous to see the next segment of Lea and Colby’s journey.  I have a feeling their will be a few bumps in the adorable couples road.

The character definition in the story was really built in well.  The secondary characters complimented each other as well as providing a basis for the main characters.  Readers get a chance to have a first hand knowledge of each person in the story.  You are shown explicitly how different personalities are from each other.  That makes the story glide very well.

If you haven’t read any of Sloan’s works, I would highly suggest you start off with Truth or Dare.  It is not a very long read, and leaves you with a desire for more of her novels.

About Sloan Johnson
sloanSloan Johnson is a big city girl trapped in a country girl’s body. While she longs for the hustle and bustle of New York City or Las Vegas, she hasn’t yet figured out how to sit on the deck with her morning coffee, watching the deer and wild turkeys in the fields while surrounded by concrete and glass.

When she was three, her parents received their first call from the principal asking them to pick her up from school. Apparently, if you aren’t enrolled, you can’t attend classes, even in Kindergarten. The next week, she was in preschool and started plotting her first story soon after.

Later in life, her parents needed to do something to help their socially awkward, uncoordinated child come out of her shell and figured there was no better place than a bar on Wednesday nights. It’s a good thing they did because this is where she found her love of reading and writing. Who needs socialization when you can sit alone in your bedroom with a good book?

Now, Sloan is a tattooed, purple haired mom of two kids, one of which was a thank you present to her husband for letting her get a Staffordshire Terrier with more anxiety issues than Sloan has, which is saying something. She’s been kicked out of the PTA in two school districts and is no longer asked to help with fundraisers because she’s been known to lose herself in a good book and forget that she has somewhere to be.

Meet the Author:

Ros has been writing stories since she was eight years old, but she likes her new stuff better than her old stuff. She writes fresh, funny, genre-busting fiction. She digs feisty heroines, quirky families, heroes to make you sigh and tingle. And a dash of fantasy from time to time.

In real life, Ros works in policy for the Australian Government and in her non-existent spare time she coordinates tomorrowgirl, a short story competition for remote Indigenous girls.

Ros lives in Brisbane’s North with her husband Blair, four small but very opinionated children, a neurotic dog and nine billion germs.

Lecanora peered through the little glass window, standing slightly to the side and trying not to be seen. Larry was holding the man’s palm, looking at his watch. Rania was pacing up and down beside the bed. Larry kept shaking his head, repeating the gesture with the palm and the watch. As he turned to reach for his stethoscope out of his bag, Lecanora could see he was smiling, the biggest smile she’d seen on the man since she had met him.

As he turned to his bag, she finally got a full view of the man lying on the bed.

As she did, the floor seemed to slide giddily under her. She wondered if her blood sugar was low again, and unwrapped another of the food products Rania had pressed into her hand before she had gone into the hospital room. A Twinkie, Rania had called it. A lovely name, Lecanora decided. She stuffed the tiny cake into her mouth, zeroing in again for a look at the man on the bed. This time the giddy slide was less, but still there.

It was him, she decided. He was having this effect on her.

She stood back carefully and took a mental inventory. He was shockingly dark. His face was hard and angular, and even from this distance and with his face rested in sleep she could see two scars on it, and a strange shape to his long nose that indicated a break in his youth. One scar was pale and white, the other fresher and darker. But as well as being hard and bleak, the face was also lush. Full lips were half open as he muttered something in his sleep, rolling slightly and showing off a long throat and a dark beard.

As though he sensed her watching, he turned in her direction in his sleep. Lecanora quickly ducked behind a tall trolley to her right, but she could still see him. Her superb eyesight allowed her a complete view of his face, which was a study of vulnerability in sleep.  He was so open to her it momentarily robbed her of the capacity to Land-breathe, and she coughed quickly and commanded her brain to engage. A deep cleft in his chin lent him a childish air.

As she watched, a young woman approached her. She was quite beautiful by Land standards, and she seemed to favour bold colours. A dark red stained her nails, not unlike the blood-tattoos favoured by the rebel Leigons, and an even bolder crimson outlined her lips around the edges, although the inside part was lighter, like maybe the colour had worn off. Brilliant blue sparkly dust outlined her eyes. Lecanora was quite transfixed by the whole effect.

‘Can I help you?’ the young woman asked, and Lecanora shuddered. Her voice was high and screechy. Lecanora closed her eyes briefly to try to stop her face from reacting with surprise, and her fingers from snaking into her ears.

Lecanora took in the woman’s attire — all white, with a small badge and an official-looking pin adorning her breast. She appeared to be an employee of the hospital. ‘I am with the people in that room,’ she said.

The woman pressed her lips together, like that made sense. Then she sighed. ‘Well,’ she said. ‘Don’t you think you better go in then, honey?’

‘No,’ Lecanora said. ‘But thank you.’

The woman pressed her lips together again, and Lecanora could almost smell her determination. ‘Well, you can’t hang around out here I’m afraid.’

‘So I must enter that room?’

‘Please.’ The woman nodded. She inclined her head towards the man lying on the bed. ‘He’s made a remarkable recovery in the last few hours. He’ll be coming around soon.’

The woman looked at Lecanora carefully, and began to speak more slowly, like she thought maybe Lecanora had difficulties with comprehension. ‘Here,’ she said. ‘Let me help you in.’ She hooked her arm through Lecanora’s and guided her to the door.

Lecanora stood still in the doorway as the official left. Rania looked up from the discussion she had been having with Larry.

‘Babe,’ she said. ‘There you are. Come in. Doug’s almost all better. That shit of Rick’s is out of this freakin’ world. We’re just waiting for him to wake up. I want to make sure I’m here when he does. He’s going to be so freaked out.’

Lecanora could not find the right words to answer her sister coherently. She was still reeling from the impact the sleeping Land man had on her. She backed up against the bed, muttering something about needing to get a drink, but before she could escape, a strong hand grabbed her wrist and spun her towards the bed. She found herself face to face with eyes of the deepest brown, a colour she could not have imagined even existed at the bottom of the ocean. But it was more than their colour. They were so expressive. She wondered if it was because they had just woken from a coma. They were eyes in which she felt she could read all the pain and courage and fears of a life.

She cleared her throat to try to make the right sounds, in the correct order.

But nothing came.

Because the man of the deep brown eyes and scars, the Land man of the dimpled chin and vulnerable eyes, was looking right at her.

Like he was as surprised as she was by what he saw.

His warm, strong fingers rubbed gently at the underside of her wrist, shooting hot shivers into the coldest parts of her.

He looked well. Very well. Not the broken thing Rania and Larry had described.

‘Doug,’ Rania growled, poking him in the ribs. ‘Say hi, for fuck’s sake, you’ll scare her.’

‘Hi,’ the long brown man said, raising a hand feebly. ‘We’ve met,’ he said. ‘In my dreams.’ He looked over at Rania. ‘Sheriff — you’ve got some explaining to do.’

The man pulled himself up from the bed and pulled out a  tube that had been attached to his arm. He yanked Lecanora towards him by her wrist. As strong as he was, Lecanora knew she was stronger than him. She could feel it. She could have resisted easily, without even breaking a sweat. Instead, she let herself be dragged in towards him like a shark to the slaughter. Closer, closer, until her chest was resting almost parallel to his.

She sat there, feeling his warm breath on her face and her cold blood turn red-hot.

‘Very pleased to meet you, Dream Girl,’ he said. ‘Very pleased indeed.’

Title: A Chance at Love (5 STARS)
Author: Karolyn James
Date Published: 2/13/2014
Genre: Contemporary Romance

A simple phone call can change your life… just ask successful businessman Sullivan Chasen.

When the caller shares the news that Sullivan’s father is dying, Sullivan laughs and hangs up.  He isn’t being heartless, he just knows that it can’t be true – because his father already passed away… ten years ago.

Like a bad dream, the calls keep coming and DNA results turn Sullivan’s world upside down.  There is only one way, and very little time, to figure out the truth.  He packs his bags for the small town of Ferry Creek, North Carolina.

Once Sullivan arrives, he must confront a past he never knew existed, including a half-brother who lives above their family diner.  The longer he spends away from his wealthy lifestyle and successful business, the more he falls in love with the small town, its community… and waitress, Jess Winthorne.

Can Sullivan Chasen go back to his normal life after learning about his past or will he discover the missing piece of his heart in Ferry Creek?

What would you do if one day what you knew most of your life to be was based on a lie?  That is the case for one Sullivan Chasen.

Karolyn James writes a heartwarming story of two men brought together by the similarities they shared in DNA.  DNA similarities that both men had no idea about until a death bed confession.

Sullivan Chasen is going through life feeling life being successful in business, but not so much in his personal life.  His personal life comes crashing when a man, who claims his father is on his death bed.  A father who Sullivan truly believed died ten years earlier.

Sullivan goes to Ferry Creek to see who these people are to claim to be family.  Upon his arrival in town, Sullivan learns that sometimes things happen for a reason.  Ferry Creek is a healing place for people who come to seek answers.  It catches you, and grabs at your heart strings.  Sullivan learns some very important lessons, and one of them may include opening his heart to love.

I enjoyed the love stories portrayed in Chance at Love.  They are sentimental, and really brought a smile on my face.  You have a sexy billionaire, and a waitress with a kind heart.  And I loved how the diner brought people from all aspects of life together.

Can you identify with the lessons that Sullivan learned while during his journey of identity?

I can’t wait to read more of Ferry Creek in future works by Karolyn James.

I opened my eyes again, and we locked in a hypnotic gaze. I didn’t look away like I normally would when a hot guy caught me staring. I held the gaze and just keep dancing. I felt seductive for the first time in my life. The hottest guy I had ever seen was watching me with a hunger in his eyes. And I was dancing for him.

The song changed, breaking my concentration from Jared and back to the DJ. A feeling of euphoria filled my entire body as I looked out at the scene before me, taking it all in. I love it here. I want to dance all night. Suddenly I felt a hand on my hip. It startled me, but I didn’t mind. A body moved up against me and started to move in harmony with mine. I shot a look over my shoulder and caught a glimpse of Jared. My face now only inches from his. I turned my body around so we were face to face. Still moving with the beat of the music, our bodies melded. Now I was hot. Why is it so hot in here? Up close I could see he had a small silver piercing just below his bottom lip and it protruded forward as he bit his lower lip and stared deep into my eyes.

I mirrored his gesture and bit my lower lip, looked up at him with my large doe eyes as he started to grind closer to me. With his hand on the small of my back he pulled me into him, pressing his body hard into mine. The smell of his cologne was intoxicating. I had an overwhelming urge to kiss him, our lips now only an inch apart, at best. I wondered if he felt the same. Is he going to kiss me? God, how I want him to kiss me! His took his finger and gently ran it from the base of my neck down my décolleté and stopped right above my cleavage. My skin moistened from sweat, my panties moistened in arousal. Why was he teasing me? I wanted him so badly I considered pulling him off to the bathroom. Have some class, Shay. My conscience reared its ugly head for the first time all night. Glad to know I still had it, but unwilling to listen, I closed my eyes and leaned my head back, exposing my vulnerable neck. I saw flashes of light pulsating through my closed eyelids, and I felt Jared’s hand move from the small of my back down to my ass as he gripped it in his palm. Finally, soft lips met my neck. He gently kissed his way up until our mouths were in perfect alignment. He paused, and I could feel his breath on my face. We were so close. Why won’t he kiss me? Unable to take it any longer, I latched my fingers around his neck and pulled his mouth into mine.

His lips soft on mine, kissed me slowly at first, and then the whole world around us seemed to fade away, and I was lost in his embrace. I teased him a bit, circling his piercing with the tip of my tongue, and then put it in my mouth and tugged gently with my teeth. I had never been so forward with a guy before, but I couldn’t stop myself. My attraction for him was animalistic and the way he looked at me, with a craving in his eyes, told me he felt the same. His hands made their way up my back, my hair tangled in his fingers as he pulled me deeper into him—just forcefully enough to be sexy, yet still rough enough to drive me crazy. His touch did something to my body I had never experienced before, but I liked it, and I wanted more.

I moaned through muffled lips as he started to kiss me hard and deep. It was like our mouths were made for each other. We were full-on making out in the middle of the VIP section, and I just didn’t give a shit who was watching. My eyes still closed, we sucked and licked on each other’s lips in time to the music. I could feel his erection pushed up against my pelvic bone as he grinded himself into me. I was ready to give myself to him when my conscience came back. Don’t give it all at once, Shay. That bitch had the worst timing. But I knew better than to give it all at once. At least I hadn’t lost all of my senses—just my hormones.

I pulled away slowly, lingering on his bottom lip for a moment before letting it go as I looked deep into his eyes. They had a yearning in them now, a look of lust. I knew I had turned him on, I could feel the confirmation still pushed up against me. He leaned in for one last kiss as the song changed, and suddenly it was like he had been awakened from a trance. For me it was more like waking up from a wet dream—still hot and bothered, yet bummed it was over. He flashed me his sexiest grin that let me know he enjoyed our encounter, then turned and walked over to Pope and grabbed a beer from the ice. Our dance was over.

I wondered if he danced with all the girls like that.

I wondered if we’d ever dance again.

I knew one thing for certain … I didn’t want the night to end.

What happens when a guy who refuses to lose out again meets a girl who resists him as much as she can? Will Jackson be able to hit the wall Kaylie has put up and knock it down?

I absolutely loved Hit the Wall, by  Rochelle Paige.  It is probably my most favorite out of the Blythe College series, as of now.

I loved Jackson in Push the Envelope.  He was very good protector to both his sister and her best friend.  But he had a secret desire for his sister’s friend, and kept quiet.  When Jackson realized that she was in love with someone else, he let her go.

Hit the Wall is Jackson’s way of regaining a love in his life.  It is his chance to succeed.  And I loved Kaylie.  She had lost so much in her life.  She had quite the exterior or walls built up, but yet she was still kind.  She lived and loved life to a passion, and show exhibited it in her dance.

Jackson knows that to win Kaylie he is going to have to change his game.  He can no longer be the love ’em and leave ’em type or he will lose Kaylie.

I cannot wait to read more from Blythe College series.  I am a fan of Rochelle Paige’s writing.

About the Author

I absolutely adore reading – always have and always will. My friends growing up used to tease me when I would trail after them, trying to read and walk at the same time. If I have downtime, odds are you will find me reading or writing.

I am the mother of two wonderful sons who have inspired me to chase my dream of being an author. I want them to learn from me that you can live your dream as long as you are willing to work for it.

When I told my mom that my new year’s resolution was to self-publish a book in 2013, she pretty much told me “About time!”

Top 5 Things you Didn’t Know about Hit The Wall

1. Jackson’s name originally was Josh… until I saw the names Drake & Josh together and said no way! (anyone get the TV show reference???)

2. Hit the Wall was supposed to be the third book in the Blythe College series, but Jackson just wouldn’t wait for his turn!

3. Yes, Aubrey & Jackson have two older brothers… who I almost missed mentioning completely until my mom caught it in her beta read.

4. Hit the Wall was uploaded to Kindle from the Atlanta airport while I was on my way home from fangirling at Wicked Book Weekend.

5. Shhh, don’t tell anyone but Sasha was originally going to be a reformed heroine in this book. She wasn’t cooperating & then Kaylie stormed next door and that was that for Jackson.

beg. tease. submit. Sequence One (Songs of Submission)

This omni edition contains the three novellas of Sequence One.

My name is Monica. I’m a singer born and raised in Los Angeles. I’ve stopped dating. When I cut a record, or win a Grammy, maybe then I’ll be with someone, but every man in my past has done everything he could to make me submit myself to him, and it’s gotten in the way of my career. I won’t do it again. But there’s Jonathan. He owns the high-rise hotel where I work, and he is gorgeous and charming. I refuse to fall in love with him, even though when he asks me to submit to him, I want nothing more.

When Jonathan was gone I couldn’t stop thinking about him, and the first thing he did when he got back was demand more of me. I’m willing to give him my body and my time, but I find myself giving up pieces of my heart. My career is on track, and even though I can’t write a thing, I can sing. So I’ll go to the art opening with him, because his ex wife will be there. I feel this need to protect him from hurt, though in bed, his domination brings me to my knees. This man is going to break me into a million little pieces.

“You’re mine. The minute I told you to spread your legs and you did it, you were mine. When I told you to beg for it and you did, you were mine. When you put your hands behind your back without being told, I owned you. You never had to say a word. You are a natural submissive.” No. God, no. My name is Monica, and no matter what Jonathan says, I am not submissive.

About CD Reiss CD Reiss

CD Reiss is a USA Today and Amazon bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up, she’s at the well, hauling buckets. Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere, but it did embed TV story structure in her head well enough for her to take a big risk on a TV series structured erotic series called Songs of Submission. It’s about a kinky billionaire hung up on his ex-wife, an ingenue singer with a wisecracking mouth; art, music and sin in the city of Los Angeles. Critics have dubbed the books “poetic,” “literary,” and “hauntingly atmospheric,” which is flattering enough for her to put it in a bio, but embarrassing enough for her not to tell her husband, or he might think she’s some sort of braggart who’s too good to give the toilets a once-over every couple of weeks or chop a cord of wood. If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
